Printing and converting capabilities

Prepress, rotogravure and flexo printing, lamination, slitting and converting — the sequence a job goes through between an approved file and a pallet.

Prepress and artwork engineering

Most packaging problems are born in prepress. We rebuild your file for the substrate it will actually print on: trapping for the press, white ink and opacity behind colour on metallized and clear films, bleed and seal-zone clearance so nothing critical falls inside a weld, barcode magnification and bar-width reduction for the process, and mandatory regulatory panels kept as their own locked layer.

For shrink sleeves the same desk builds the distortion from the physical container. For a family of components, it maintains one master colour target across label, capsule, case and sleeve so the family reads as a family.

Rotogravure and flexographic printing

Rotogravure is the right process for long runs, photographic imagery and absolute colour consistency across reorders. Cylinders are engraved for your artwork alone; the tooling is a one-time cost, it belongs to you, and it produces an identical result years later.

Flexo carries a much lower tooling cost and is the right process for shorter runs and for designs that change. Modern plate technology has narrowed the quality gap substantially. We quote both when the volume sits near the crossover and show you the arithmetic rather than defaulting to whichever suits us.

Up to ten colour stations are available in a single pass, which allows extended gamut work, brand spot colours, registered matte-gloss varnish and cold foil inline.

Lamination and coating

Solventless and solvent-based lamination for two-, three- and four-ply structures, with adhesive systems selected against the process the pack will face — a general-purpose adhesive in a retort structure is the single most common cause of delamination in this industry.

Coatings include heat-seal lacquers matched to specific container resins, peelable and weld-seal sealants, anti-fog, matte and gloss overprint varnish, and registered tactile varnish for premium finishing.

Converting and finishing

Slitting to your web width, core, roll diameter and unwind direction; pouch making in flat, stand-up, gusseted and spouted formats; sleeve seaming to a specified lay-flat; die-cutting of lids and labels; fitment application on bag-in-box bladders; and hot stamping and embossing for labels and capsules.

Every converted format is checked dimensionally and, where it matters, functionally: seal strength, peel force, bond strength and — for anything that runs on a customer machine — a pilot lot before full production.
